9700 driver and stuff

HI all

Got myself one of them 9700PRO's, but I can't find the post where somebody explained about the newer driver installation the way to keep every option running like with the original driver. Does anyone remember that post, or know how to do it?

Also which one is the better driver and where do I get it? I managed to get the radeon-4-13-01-9062-efg.exe and the CONTROL-PANEL-6-13-10-3027-efg.exe files off of ATI site. But no idea if those are good or out of date.

Now I'm going to format to make sure I kill everything nvidia related.

guess no drivers till I know everything, 640x480 will look pretty for now
