3 pgems and a blue item in cube is a re-roll on the item. See google for
many explanations about this.
The other writers in this thread were, I believe, referring to the "Hel
rune + teleport scroll + socketed item" cube recipe (google is again
your friend) that allows you to remove gems/runes from a the socketed
item (you lose the socketed runes/gems, but you can re-socket).
It's used by the rune-rich
to try to get a better set of mods. BTW,
on ladder or realms, never cube up Hel runes to higher level (Io). You
can trade them or use them yourself for this recipe. I had someone offer
me 1-1 Io for Hel once... lol...
