Good choice. The stock fan on that card should be more than plenty. Unless you are gonna extremem overclock of course. But that's not necessary. The best brand Ti4200's are Asus, MSI, Leadtek, Chaintech, and Gainward. I'm sure Albatron's are good cards as well.

Good luck.

i was thinking about spending about $200,trying to build the system for about $1200 i was also considering the ait 9700 pro i saw it is about $ 365 but this may eliminate upgrading in the near future. is this card worth the money ?

Seems to me people with the msi card have good luck overclocking it well past the Ti4400 level and its also near the bottom of the price scale. Don't have one myself. I have an Inno3d which was a good price but does not overclock as well as the other manufacturers.

If you wanna spend $200 I strongly suggest a 9500pro. It's faster than a Ti4200, plus it's DX9 compatible and AGP 8x enabled.

This would be a much better price/performance match considering it's longevity over the Ti4200. So with it you will be able to wait till, say, the NV30 comes down in price a little. Or keep it for 2-3 years.

NV30 coming down in price, that would be sometime in Q1 or Q2 next year, depending how big of a success the cards are.
