After looking through many posts, I see that most of you already know that Asus tech support/customer service sucks. I just wanted to leave a fresh post so that the information was available to anyone who might be considering an Asus purchase.
After two months of waiting for tech support on a faulty motherboard, I finally got an RMA number and returned it to them. After three weeks without status and two phone calls, I was informed that the mobo was physically damaged (a corner of the pcb had become bent upward 45 degrees!) and they would do nothing for me. I know it wasn't damaged when I shipped it. If it actually arrived damaged, the shipping box should have been clearly damaged and they could have rejected it and I could have collected on the insurance I had paid for. I exchanged emails with them but only got the equivalent of "oh well" for a reply.
Yes asus sucks. I'm pissed they didn't recall or support there P4s8x mobo.It was a fualty product and asus wouldnt admit it.Gigabyte has descent support though.
