Actually dropped while I was doing some Countess runs to build up some
runes...

Blood Crescent Scimitar

Very nice since it has massive life leech and the rest is icing.
Since I'm a Kicker/Trapper hybrid, I don't even care about the damage!

Regarding Khalim's Will: you can use this item just like any other
item, provided that you are not holding the it when the quest is
completed (ie, smashing the orb). If you transmute Khalim's Will and
then mule it away, you will need to collect the body parts again, but
that's not a problem. Once the orb is smashed, mule back Khalim's Will
and you are good to go.

Regarding Hellforge Hammer: Kill Hephaesto and get his hammer, then
make a new game. Kill him again and he will drop a second hammer. Leave
the second hammer on the ground, and smash the soulstone. Your hammer
will dissapear, but that's ok, since you can now pick up the one that
is lying on the ground.

But, does the ladder from Travincal to Durance 1 remain closed or does
it open for you once you kill Meph? It's a moot point, since no one
uses that stairway, but I'm curious to know.

Also, am I not correct in saying that's a kick ass weapon? Any char can
run through acts 1-3 using that. I wonder what would happen if you
tried to upgrade and socket it?

If you can get durance wp from someone else you don't even need to get the
parts again, that is what my lead char did on ladder. I collected all the
parts and was going to use it to smash when I had the bright idea of muling
it off and the grabbing the wp from someone else just as if I been rushed.
It worked, I got the wp from a game then went off and soloed meph in yet a
third game. That way I got past act 3 and kept the one will.

I started a barb this new ladder season after getting my sorc to NM. She
was running her normal quests in the same game being used to burn in my new
mules, so it was an opportune time to get Khalim's Will (and Flail on a
separate mule, just for the heck of it), as well as the Hellforge Hammer. I
equipped this 1st level barb with both items, the Will and the Hammer, and
he just plain and simply kicked ass all over the place. I took him straight
out into the foray, not even bothering to quest, just to see how well he
stood up, through the Blood Moor, past the Cold Plains, stopping by the
Burial Grounds to slap Blood Raven, over the Stony Field, through the
Passage, into the Dark Wood, taking down Treehead and his lackeys without
dying (something no sorc of mine has ever done), and on and on. He just
finished Act 1 without any issue whatsoever. He's a killing machine, and
he's naked. I don't even bother with gold on him because he never needs
anything. These are two fine weapons to start with, beating anything else
hands-down. Sure, he will outgrow them soon, but... Wow!

I don't think you should ignore the gold. The damn thing (K-Will) needs
to be repaired all the bloody time.

And yes, it's a very good weapon in acts 1 and 2 which my new
characters have been using until my chantress gets up to speed. If
anyone is playing a druid, the Horadric Staff is pretty fun as a
werewolf too (just get a druid helm with +1 WW).

My first unique is Rixot's Keen. Nice damage and 25% Crushing Blow makes
it useful for my lvl 10 Werewolf Druid.

My first unique on this ladder was also a Rixots. I guess the servers were
spitting them out all over.

Are you on USWest HCL? I found a spineripper dagger if you want it. I'm
not a necro kinda guy, and am just saving it to maybe trade.
