For those who have seen Lord of the Rings, do you remember the ring Aragorn was wearing? It was on the index finger of his left hand. It was intertwined silver and gold, with a red stone. Very cool.

I've been trying constantly since I saw the movie (the weekend it came out) to find a replica or something like it (or even a picture of it!), with no success. Anyone have any ideas?

Break in to the movie theater and steal the movie reel... then you can look at it as long as you'd like.

I just downloaded the movie.... er umm.. some pictures.. and I didn't see the ring. I could send it to you if you'd like but It's pretty big.

There are only like two places where you can see it, one where Boromir picks up the ring in the snow, and it goes to Frodo. You can see Aragorn's left hand on Frodo's shoulder, with the ring.

Hmm...if I can get it designed in 3D, maybe I can get it custom-made. That'd be expensive, though :frown:

If anyone knows of a place that sells really cool rings that look sort of Elven, let me know. No, I'm not talking about the fantasy crap with dragons raising up off your finger, or something like that.

Downloaded one version last night, no video. Downloading another now that'll probably be poor quality, but if it's the actual movie, I might be able to get a pic. I'll send it to you.
But, I'm going to the beach this weekend, so you won't get it until Sunday night (at the earliest).

heh... there is a shop in our town that does specialty work... could probably whip something like that up. works with silver, gold, white gold, red gold etc.

Can you? jwfatburger@attbi.com, or if I can download it someplace, it'd work better.

Or, just get a few good quality screenshots and email them. That'd be the simplest.

Couldn't find a good enough download so I went and watched it at the theater again. You can see the ring better near the end of the movie when he puts his hand on Frodo. It's a gold ring with two diamonds and a ruby with silver on top and bottom. It's kindof hard to explain. But FB's right that ring kicks major ass.

Near the end of the movie, I'll have to check it out. I'm currently downloading another version of it, but I'm only getting like 1k/s, so it'll take a while :frown:
