Windows 7 email download help

Since I have installed Windows 7, I am unable to open any attachments to my emails. I never had this problem before. Most of the attachments have a file ending with WMV. I do not know much about computers. What is blocking my email attachments. Do I have to make a change to my firewall settings??? I would appreciate your help. Some of these attachments are really funny and sort of start a day off right. Thank you.

You need to install an e-mail client.
Do a seacch of winows 7 email client.

Like mhelm1 suggests, you'll need an email client to read emails and their attachments, if you don't already have one (do you?). Hotmail is free and easy to use. Just open it up in Internet Explorer and enter in your Yahoo, Gmail, Live ID, or whatever email account info you use - http://explore.live.com/windows-live-hotmail

Then you'll be ready to receive emails and open attachments.
