AGP4x w/AGP 2x MoBo

Hello,

Im looking at buying a GF4 Ti4200 for a Asus P2b-DS which uses AGP 2x
Ive seen on these pages that 4x is back compatable with 2x,
but no card manufacturers ever list that 2x is also supported on the spec sheets. Even on this site's product database putting in AGP 2x with TI4200 yields nothing.
I dont want to buy one only to find out the company decided not to make it work.

Don't worry it will work just fine. I have a P2B runn a G2 Pro 64mb 4X card and all is well. Buy and enjoy.

My Leadtek Geforce 2 Pro actually has a debug LED to indicate whether it's running 4X I ran it fine on my 2X Asus P5A (although it did crash some - I think that was a driver problem, however. Seemed sound related).

I run BX boards on my own systems <i>almost</i> exclusively, and I haven't seen a card they wouldn't accept.
