Well, I don't know what realm you are talking about, but on USEast, I was
playing fine, clearing out the NM Arcane Sanctuary in preparation for my
sorc's first try at Diablo when I started noticing jerky lagginess, not the
normal kind of lag. I tried launching my mule machine for use later during
a pit stop and was told that it couldn't connect to battle.net when I first
tried to sign in using my account. I tried a couple times, all with the same
result. Curious, I kept playing and almost had the place cleared, in fact
was in the process of killing the last monster, when suddenly the lag hit,
and not two seconds later I was booted with the message "your game was
interrupted." (To add insult to injury, they keep that stupid message there
for the longest time, and you're like, "Duh!" ) I thought I would get the
same unable to connect message on this comp, but I didn't. I even exited
and re-signed in and it worked fine. Hmmm... Well, when I tried to launch
a game, I couldn't. Failed to join game, every time. (And had to sit there
and wait for that interminable message to vanish.) So I don't know whether
or not this has anything to do with anything, but there you go.
