DX9 Beta, You brave enough?

Found an article leading me to the beta site for <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/productinfo/guidelines.asp" target="_new">Directx 9</A>. Im gonna do a system restore point, see what it does for me. anybody else willing to take the plunge? I remember the difference from DX7 and DX8, and I didnt have a card that was DX8 optimised.

Im gonna give it a go, post my results. Probably just gonna test 3dmark, Doom III alpha, and UT2003.

You dont have an <b>ANY</b> key? Your keyboard must not be Windows XP certified...

I remember getting better performance out of my system back when I had a voodoo 3. I saw a nice increase in performance from some games then (quake 2, shogo MAD)

Now I got DX8 card (Radeon 8500LE 64mb), and I m gonna see what it does to my system to update again
