Disc access on End Act Demons cause no chance to get drops

Sometimes when I or we kill Andariel, Duriel, Mephisto, Diablo or Baal there
is a 1-2 seconds delay because there is an access to the CD (at this time
exactly) and you guess that in an multiplayers game I have no chance to get
the drop.

Now this is one reason to get the CD-presence-hack! But I never looked into
it.

Anyone else with that problem? Maybe there is another way to solve it? My
system is pretty up to date.

You could copy the music and the video files from the CD to your D2
installation directory. Then CD access is only needed to start up the game.

Indeed.

Just play in window mode. -w option in the shortcut. No access to videos,
so no access to CD in the middle of the action. The CD is only accessed
when you are in channels and stops spinning rapidly once in game.

Downsize is :
- you need to turn your screen brighter on LCD
- if you move your mouse too fast and clic outside of window, it lowers
and of course, if you move your mouse frantically in general it's in times
of trouble ;-)
