How powerful can these guys really become? I've taken note of the Unique
Throwing Axes and both The Scalper and Gimmershreds i had drop last season.
Infact i still had them on a mule when the ladder reset. Ofcourse
considering i'm Ladder Only player i offloaded everything i had in Free
Stuff Here games and gave it all away. Can throwing barbs be a serious
killer?

Hi

I was working on throwing axe barb to when ladder reset. I think they
could be really tuff specially if they have a lacerator it has some
really nice mods on it for a throwing barb specially chance to cast amp
damage for PIs. a barb using a glimmershreds and lacerator combo would
do very good I think.

Not serious killers, at least not in big hell games. But powerfull
enough to be able to finish hell without much help. Well maybe some help
against the Ancients.

But throw barbs are fun. And much different in terms of equipment
selection and stat point distribution from any other barb variant.
Certainly worth trying. If you can stand the repeating trips to town
from repair that is.

If you want to play a thrower at some point start crafting Flying Axes
immediately and hope for 450% ed, 40 IAS and high dual leech ;).

A Unique:

Lacerator Winged Axe
Throw Damage: (17-21) To (150-186) (83.5-103.5 Avg)
One-Hand Damage: (27-34) To (140-173) (83.5-103.5 Avg)
Required Level: 68
Required Strength: 96
Required Dexterity: 122
Base Weapon Speed: [-10]
Max Stack: (180)
+150-210% Enhanced Damage (varies)
+30% Increased Attack Speed
33% Chance of Open Wounds
Prevent Monster Heal
Hit Causes Monster To Flee 50%
33% Chance To Cast Level 3 Amplify Damage On Striking
Replenishes Quantity [1 in 4 sec.]
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.10 or later)

Without the Flee mod, it would be just gravy ...
