I have a LCD monitor with a DVI in and a Radeon 9000 with a DVI out. But the computer won't boot with the LCD screen. What should I do to make it boot with DVI? Is connecting the card and the monitor with a DVI cable enough?
i thought that was all you had to do as well...
maybe install drivers? (although monitors should be plug and play)
maybe refresh rate/resolution is too high?
or did you enable dvi output if you have to? (look in properties or something)
THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS WITH MINE!!! I posted it in the LCD forum and got a few replies bu they were all for things that I had covered already. Its weird, it turns on but no hdd reads/vga output etc. Also, my system will not boot with my VGA output with my LCD turned on, i have to keep it turned off until I get to windows, weird huh?
Yeah, it's frustrating. I tried to find support from Samsung, but they redirect me to more mess. Tried to write support email to Sapphire and ATi, but one gave no reply and the other gave me useless FAQs. I guess I'll stick to normal VGA cable until DVI sets ground in the industry.
