I have received a notification that I need to download a
program from 'patch.com" otherwise it could affect my use
of 'messenger'. It mentioned that this is a critical
matter for an 'XP' user.
Is this a legitimate notification?
To download it I must pay $19.99

Greetings,

As Joel already indicated, this is complete trash, but, where exactly did you get this
"notification" (i.e. what did it look like) ?
