Basically, which is better, a mid-range radeon for $150 or a similar Geforce3/4 for $150?? I am looking at a Gefore3 Ti200 (Inno3D branded) - anyone had any particularly good/bad experiences with either chip??

Thanks in advance,
Allan Lewis.

i'm not quite sure when it's out but you should go for something like a radeon 9500/pro.ati cards tend to be better value from my experience than nvidia.

no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd. :]

Greetings. The ATI 9500 Pro is midway between a GeForce4 Ti 4200 and GeForce4 Ti 4600 at normal settings. The ATI 9500 Pro is much faster than any card in the GeForce4 Ti line when Antialiasing is turned on - better at MAX settings. However, there is a higher probability that a game will either act up or not work at all with a ATI 9500 Pro. It's a toss up, it depends how much you value performance over stability.

For that money you want a Ti4200 but not from Inno3d. MSI is cheap but good.
