in your expert opinion, what would be a better choice for performance. the ati radeon 7000 PCI or the nvidia Geforce 2 MX PCI. note the pci, this is going in a computer that is AGPless :p

If you can get your hands on a 7500 PCI that is what I would get. I have one and it runs quite nicely, no issues at all.

If you can't get the 7500 I would probably go with the 7000 just because generally the MX lines are quite underpowered.

Grr, so is the 7000. In fact, isn't the 7000 not only cut down to non-DDR, but at 64-bit instead of 128?

Like I mentioned, I don't have any real experience with the 7000. I just looked at the specs for the 7000 and the GeForce 2 MX and it looks like the 7000 is a better deal since it supports DirectX 8 while the GeForce only supports up to DirectX 7.
