Hi,
I am running two xp machines on a home network. Both have
version 4.7.3 of windows messenger. On one machine when I
click on tools options prefernces I can check a box that
says start windows messenger at bott. On the other machine
this option(the first one on the drop down list) just
isn't there. I've downloaded the good version and tried
running it on the second machine but get the same result.
In the early days, before I wanted to use windows
messenger I went through a lot of trouble to make sure it
would not start at boot. I don't remember what I did
beyond using gpedit.msc and then enabling the windows
messenger templates to not run. These have been
disabled. I can start windows messenger mannually and I
suppose I could put it in the startup file. Still it
would be nice to get the drop down back to its original
state. Anyone have any suggestions?
