Hi,

As a second computer I have a 2001 Dell Latitude L400, earlier on
today the keyboard just appeared to stop working.

I have plugged in a wireless keyboard and a usb keyboard, both of
which work fine, so I assume that the motherboard is OK.

Later I will remove the keyboard from the laptop and check connections
etc.

I have a number of questions:

a) Does anyone know if this is a common problem?
b) Is there anything in particular I should be looking for when I
remove the keyboard and check the connections?
c) Is there a way to check the keyboard is actually faulty?
d) I am assuming it is the keyboard at fault.....is there anything
else that might be the problem??
e) Anything else I should be aware of?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Kind regards

Stuart
