losing mapped drives

my mapped drives come back with an error that says an error occured with
mapped drive x: drive already in use.
if i open a command window i can access the drive and all is well again,
error will reoccur.
dlink di524, w2k pro mapped to w2k server.

I too suffered this problem, well, not me but another with a PC I am
supposed to administer.

Not saying that this is your issue, but this began to occur after I
installed NAV, as this PC had no AV software previously. The only thing I
did was install NAV. I updated it to it's latest version, etc. Still got
the error. Tried a few other things as well.

Then I ran across a post in the Norton AV KB. Apparently, there is some
issue with NAV and the Roxio DirectCD that was install on this computer.

After updating DirectCD with the latest patches, all was well again.

i didn't have this problem before going wireless.
