In Counterstrike I notice that when I turn to look in the game sometimes my frames drop and I get a sudden 'glitch', hard to explain but I didnt have the problem when I had my geforce2 gts. I set my refresh rate to 85 and my fps to 85, so I get 85fps all the time, except for these little jolts. Id have to say the geforce4 is performing no better than the 2 did (it did double my 3dmarks though) 4200 - 8620

AMD 1700+
Abit kr7a-133
512 pc2100
Asylum Geforce4 ti 4200 128mb
detonator 30.82 (tried 40.72)
sblive value
windows xp sp1
so on...

try enable Vsydnc in CS and also get rid of the frame limiter, so u get 99fps all the time, i can't remember the command, but do a google search or do a search in the "Game" forum

Is 3dmark consistent or do you have the glitch there too?

Hmm, Ok, I guess it just did not like being limited to 85fps, when I changed my refresh rate to 100 and fps_max to 100 it seems happy.

yet again, still something weird. When at 100fps 100hz it doesnt seem as..smooth..as the default 60fps 60hz. Almost like if you were you have the fps max on say 80 but refresh on 100hz (if any of you have tried this you will know what I mean). Vsync is on as well. Yes I'm being picky...but, just because it says 100fps doesnt mean it looks as good =P
