Radeon 9700 Pro and GA-8PE667U Problem

Okay, I got my entire system built, loaded XP and had no problems. Then, as soon as I loaded the Catalyst drivers and my pc re-booted, I see the XP loading screen, and then nothing but black. I have seen other people post questions about this on here, but have never read a solution. I have updated my BIOS to the latest edition and still no luck. Oh, I also have a 430 watt power supply, so that should not be a problem either. Any ideas?

Did you uninstall the previous drivers before you installed the new ones?

I figured it out. Apparently, you cannot have both the VGA and DVI cables plugged into the 9700 simultaneously. As soon as I disconnected the VGA, I no longer had the blank screen after the Windows XP startup screen.

You can, but you need to set up the dual displays for it on the one working monitor if you're using two monitors. No, you can't have both going to the same monitor.
