Has anyone seen a comparison between the two online? The 9500Pro is about 80$ (CAN) more, but I would like to know if the it's worth getting...

I'm stuck between these two now, your thoughts plz<P ID="edit"><FONT SIZE=-1><EM>Edited by Pettitt on 12/08/02 10:22 PM.</EM></FONT></P>

It's worth getting a Radeon 9500 Pro. It's a better buy than the whole GeForce4 Ti series.

Let us know <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/community/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=25703#25703" target="_new"> What File compression format you use? </A>

if you can afford it, the 9500pro is sufficiently better than the ti4200 to justify the extra cost, since it performs around about the level of the ti4600 and beats it in many respects.the ti4200 is still a great budget card though.

no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd. :]

Not to mention being more future proof. If you don´t plan on upgrading for a year or two, the 9500Pro or 9700 is the choice for you.

the fillrate of the 9500pro isnt as much as the TI4600, but if your playin at 1024x768 or 1280x1024 this wont matter

the main thing is the geometry engine in the 9500pro is about 2-3x more powerful than in the TI4600. THIS is what makes all the difference in modern games, and for DX8 and DX9 effects
