I'm not too concened about games, but will be using photoshop and I want an overall high system performance. I will be using a recent computer. If I just want something fast and good for photoshop and some games what is the best route to gor for about $100-150. Would it be better to get a Radeon 8500 w/ 64mb or an 8500LE w/128mb, or maybe a Ti4200. I see the prices dropping on the 8500LE's, I saw a 128 for 80 bucks, wondering what you all think?

Thanks

I don't know about the file compression, I'm just starting out. How will it affect my choice? Would the 64mb card really be better than a 128? I know the 8500 is superior to the LE, but does it make a big difference if I'm not playing games?

Thanks for the help!

Go with the Tu4200. Many threads about R8500 and Ti4200 has been discussed. Majority chose the Ti4200 for gaming power. As for photoshop I have AXP1800+ and R8500 LE 64MB. Everything runs smooth. I work on brochures and flyers using 300dpi.

the compression thing is just part of his signature ;)
not a question aimed at you
and go with the 8500, it's lots cheaper and with the newer drivers it will game just as well as the ti4200, again, for lots cheaper
