If you want to show him up, get the Radeon All-in-wonder 9700pro

Best card there is, and best card there will be for quite sometime. Im reminded of an old say:

"Whoever dies with the most (and in this case, best) toys wins" muhahaha!

Yep..I am getting my AIW 9700 Pro today...I think imma fake diarrhea so I can leave work early! hehe. If you however just want gaming power and can wait, go wait for the GF FX and compare with the R9700 Pro. Who knows by GF FX release a new version of the R9700 Pro comes out too. As for me I can't wait few more months to delay buying an uber card. I wanna game with the best visuals now! Also I need my own TV which the AIW can offer and also TiVo like features and VCD/DVD creation. Nvidia hasn't beaten ATI when it comes to all-in-one cards either.

As you say, although nVidia has frequently been ahead in game performance (almost constantly until 9700, actually), they've never come even close to the AIW cards for TV and such type of features. Long live competition!

If this helps. ATI is apparently addressing the confusion of which cards perform better, the 9000, 8500, or the 9500. ATI is re-releasing the 8500 as the Radeon 9100.

I'm sure the change is for marketing and pricing but it does help consumers.
