I've downloaded and executed the 1.29f patch....however, the title screen
still says that I'm at 1.27f! What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance ~ R.....

Are you running Civ3 vanilla or PTW?
PTW's last patch was at 1.27f
Civ3 vanilla at 1.29f
and Conquests at 1.22
Thanks! I guess that solves it...I'm running Civ III Gold Edition
"Multiplayer" - I think that's PTW, right?
When I look at the files on my C drive, there is another executable in the
c:\prog files\atari\civIII directory, but when I use that one it asks me to
insert the CD-ROM and try again. Confusing stuff.
Anyway, I guess I don't need the patch? Thanks!

If you're under an Atari directory then you have PTW or Conquest. They both
install to an Atari directory at default settings. Civ3 Vanilla would be in
an Infogrames Interactive folder by default install settings...

The PTW patch updates your vanilla Civ III anyway. On my system I can
see the 1.29f if I view this file:
C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization
III\Text\version.txt
But I don't have the Gold Edition so yours could be different.
