That'd be a bit tougher, considering the number of subforums, Saga. We divide the forums into Supercategories (Hardware, Software), Categories (CPUs, Windows 7) and Subcategories (Intel i5, Configuration & Customization). I do believe we allow for tracking on categories right now.
Here's one I had earlier:
Q. What's the difference between "Unanswered" and "Solved" exactly?
A. "Unanswered" are all threads without Replies. "Solved" are threads that have had a Best Answer selected.
Q. What's the difference between a Question and Discussion thread?
A. The Question threads are asking for a specific answer, usually a tech support style post. Discussions ask for input, feedback and interaction, and have no right or wrong answer.

Yes, this is true. Points are going away, and will be replaced by a more accurate system. You can read more about that here:

Q. Will there still be an OPTION to enable or disable email notifications?
A. Yes! Absolutely! Found under "Forum options" in your profile page in the new platform.
Q. Will there be a way to notify the individual their thread has been moved and then provide the NEW address of their thread?
A. I believe the new notification includes the updated URL. I will check to confirm.

Can't access the beta , tried on Chrome. Error code 87.
The switchy button is in the top right corner but when pressed to select the TH Beta no check mark appears next to it and the world circle goes to blue for 10 sec then returns to a pale blue color and no check mark next to TH Beta. I also have IE9 but havn't tried that yet.
Guess I'll have to wait for the change and figure it out then. Do we have a date yet or is it still "soon".

inzone: Copy/paste this into the Automatic Configuration URL area of your Switchy Proxy setup: http://m.bestofmedia.com/i/proxies/proxy.beta.pac
Let me know if that still doesn't work.
When you guys activate the proxy, be sure to access the forum as you would starting out, by going to tomshardware.com and then clicking on Forum. Any recent threads posted here wouldn't end up showing up, depending on what stage the migration was in.
"Fearless leader" sounds too close to "Glorious leader". I'll have to get a big pair of goofy sunglasses and a beige jumpsuit and walk around the forum pointing at obvious things. " This, what's this? Ahh, a post. Yes, yes. Very well."
Q. Will the webpages load faster and more efficiently in the new platform?
A. Speed is increased markedly for forum load times. We've also got another thing in the works which will be a super-huge perk to registered members only that should speed up the browsing. I'll reveal that in time, but you could probably guess it pretty accurately.

Still nothing , the url is in there and saved , when you click on the globe it shows the TH Beta and when the mouse hovers over that it shows the url that I just added. When I click on the TH Beta the small window closes and the globe turns blue for 10 to 15 sec and then reverts to it's original pale greyish color and the forum is still the same.

I don't think there should be since that would make it easier for people to return to their posts, if it's just on by default. You have to be kidding - right? If I can't turn off email notifications it's goodbye to the forum as far as I'm concerned.
Right click on Switchy, go to Options.
Add a new Profile. Type in "TH Beta" where it says "Profile Name".
Select "Automatic Configuration".
Make sure the Auto Config URL there says : http://m.bestofmedia.com/i/proxies/proxy.beta.pac
Make sure "No Proxy for ?" says: localhost; 127.0.0.1; <local>
Click "Save".
Left-click the globe icon. Select "TH Beta".
Navigate to www.tomshardware.com. Click "Forum". That should work. If it doesn't, you might have something funky going on with proxies.
You will be able to turn on and off email notifications. This isn't something we're considering changing.

Everything is fine up untill the left click on the globe and select TH Beta. It just won't put the check mark on TH Beta , the globe changes color to a darker blue for a short time like it's trying to do it but then it reverts to the pale color and there is not check mark next to TH Beta. Is there supposed to be? Either way it doesn't switch the proxy.
I'm going to try deleting Chrome and reinstalling to see if that does anything.

"Ancient" is a title for forum members that have been with Tom's Hardware a long time.
I request the title be changed to "Ancient One". The term "Ancient One" carries a bit more weight and special meaning. Sci-Fi, Fantasy, RPG, and Steampunk fans will understand and relate to it. In addition, "Stargate SG-1" fans will recognize it instantly. The single word "Ancient" does not convey the desired meaning. For some it simply means old and nothing else.
Thanks!
