It will be very nice if THG makes VGA Chart: Part III with all onboard P4/AMD graphics chipsets.

That's a good idea... you don't often see reviews of gaming performance of onboard video chipsets for an obvious reason... but it'd be nice to have a chart as a reference!

I second this notion!

They do it each time they review a chipset with on-board.
There aren't many anyways, and the performance is already known, always around 3000-4000 3d Marks at most.
Go check nForce 2 chipset reviews.

I doubt i845GE or VIA KM266 can get 4000 3D Marks, since GF2 MX400 has hard time getting 3000 3D Marks.

There is adequate numeber of IGP chipsets for both AMD and Intel cpu's to make a VGA chart

It is required to see how much other IGP chipsets compare to nForce and nForce2. Plus it would be good if they include a discrete GF2 MX200,MX400, GF4MX420 and MX440 for comparison.

I agree!

And, I also find that THG should add lower resolutions to its charts, eg 800x600x16.
Budget cards and integrated video will only be sufficient at lower res. For people on a budget, the high 1024x768x32 and higher resolutions are not interesting, as their cards won't do the job at such a high resolution.

I have a Kyro1 and a 15inch screen, so going beyond 800x600 is pointless anyway with such a small screen.

I am using nForce IGP and have a 15" monitor. But I think 1024 x 768 x 32bit is the res. to use with VGA charts.

Chances that the thread will be read by Graphics article editors are slim to none. You should instead go e-mail em.

The onboard video is cool.. (would never use that) but anyway, i'd think an onboard AUDIO comparison would be good...

instead of buying a creative card or something like that... when the onboard audio is perfectly sufficient for most users...

excellent idea on the Onboard chart... THG should deff look into this
