Hello,
I was just curious to know what happens to the wireless numbers when
a contract expires or a customer terminates the contract? Are those
numbers assigned back to any new customers? MOST importantly, how much
time does it take? This information will be very important to me as
the number portability act does not work with the same carrier and I
got two new phones from the internet with different numbers with the
same carrier. Can I just let my current contract expire, activate a
new plan and request the old numbers once they are 'free'

This group is for wireless networking not cellphones. You might get
lucky and someone here might know the answer to you questions, but it
would probably be better if you posted it in a more appropriate group.
