Graphics Card and Everquest

Greetings!

I am currently putting together a new system (Asus A7N8X Deluxe, AMD XP2600+, 1GB DDR400 RAM, WD800JB 80GB ATA/100 7200rpm 8MB buffer HD. I was looking at a GeForce4 ti4600 video card but have been hearing good things about ATI. Does anyone play EQ and have a preference on video cards?

Would appreciate any opinions and please let me know why you prefer the card you recommend!

I have a Celeron 1.7 (screams) but anyway, I have a 7900 pro ati, old 256 ram and EQ runs perfect. I play in 1024x768 and I have nothing but perfect gameplay. I dont know anything about nvidia but ati works. Goodluck

with a system like that you should get a 9700pro or a 9700. If thats too much $$ get a 9500pro. The 9700/9500 runs EQ very well.

If you get the R9500 pro or R9700 pro you are good to go for EQ2 as well...hehe
