Ati 9000 Pro vs 8500

Which VC is better and why. ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB or Ati Radeon 8500 retail.

The 8500 is slightly better but it is more expensive. How much more expensive depends on where you buy.

They're both pretty darn close, but the 8500 is a bit better. Personally I would go with whatever is cheeper.

Actually the 8500LE is cheaper and still better then the 9000.

What about technology wise tho I'm sure that the 9000 has newer technology put into it.

Actually, it does not. In fact it actually has worse technology due to the fact that the pipeline is stripped down so each only can do one texture per pass compared to the 8500's 2 per pass.

I think FSAA might be a bit better on the 9000, but who really needs it? If I want a blurry picture, a few beers can do that! Seriously, the 8500 is faster, the 9000 was meant to be a CHEAPER card!
