Defult mail client

Hello I am trying to answer and job position on craigs list and I get a pop up window saying that the defult mail client is not installled properly. I just bought this new compaq computer with windows 7 on it i dont know what do to to fix the problem, can you tell me whats wrong.

you need to install an email client, like windows live mail or outlook express
