strange behaviour

my pc is acting strange. yesterday when i was playing medieval total war(not the most system stressing of games) my system just shut down. then it started up again. i mean it didnt just start up from hibernation or standby, the thing just started up on its own...whats going on with it?

R U running xp home or prof? you should be able to get some idea in the event viewer but I don't think thts avail on xp home. Go to cntrol panel>admin services>event viewer>applications. look for something marked by a yellow triangle or in reg. It's possable it could be electrical/short circuit etc. chrck the wiring inside the box and make sure no prob there. Also do a virus scan to see if you have any nasties lurking about. More info would help.
