Greetings Ozzy,
This uninstalls Windows Messenger 4.x, it does not have any effect on MSN Messenger or
Windows Messenger 5.
What version are you attempting to reinstall and what error message are you seeing? If
you're trying simply reinstall from Add/Remove Windows Components, be aware that this
functionality does not reinstall Messenger.
If you wish to have Windows Messenger 4.7 back, you can do so by downloading this:
