Do you have a Belkin Modem Router ? If so that replaces the Alcatel unit.

This has nothing to do with wireless, but perhaps I can offer some
direction.
The Speed Touch Pro is a modem and router.
Therefore the Belkin router is redundant and not needed. I'll assume
it's the "Pro" model router, but double check. The left front of the
router should say "Speed touch Pro". If it's "Speed Touch Home", you
have a bridge, in which case the Belkin router will be needed.
The basics: Plug your computah into the LAN port (you may need a
crossover cable). Plug your phone line into the WAN port. (I assume
you have microfilters or a splitter to isolate the DSL from the rest
of your phones). The Line Sync light should flash and then stabilized
to solid green. Open your web browser to:
http://10.0.0.138 and you'll end up on the configuration page. The precise setup and
configuration depends upon your undisclosed ISP and their manner of
authentication.

Tell us more about how you have it set up and configured. I have Speed Touch
Home (it can be a Speed Touch Pro if I want it to...). I haven't used any
Belkin routers ... but I imagine it should be able to make your typical DSL
PPPoE connection over the Speed Touch Pro., quite nicely. Probably does your
typical NAT to 192.168.1.x?
Take it one step at a time .... does the Belkin get the connection to come
up via the Speed Touch?
