Missing Contact in list MSN Messenger

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger (More info?)

I have added a certain contact to my list, now all of a sudden it's not
showing it. Irrespective of whether they're logged on or not. I am still
able to chat but the entry is missing.

Is this some Messenger add-on? This is annoying, the control freak in me
likes to know when folks are online!!

Any ideas guys?

Greetings Patrick,

If you click the Tools menu, then Options, then Privacy tab, look and see if you can find
them on the Allow list. If they're there, try right-clicking and choosing "Add to Contacts".

Is that because I deleted the contact in error?
