Is it possible to put an athlon XP on a a7a266?
I have seen on the web site of Asus that with the revision 1.08 and higher it's possible ...
But i have sent an email to the Asus support and they asked me too check the revision on my mobo between PCI slot
and it was written rev1.03.
So i reply to the Asus support and he told me that it won't work with this rev ...
But i am not sure of this response ...

Can somebody help me ??

PS: excuse me for my poor english

You have to first flash your bios to revision 1008 or 1009 which is the newest then it should work with the xp. Hope you have better luck with the a7a then me and a lot of others around here!!!

My signature really sucks.

I have no problem with my a7a266 ...except sometime with my radeon 8500.it won't boot at the first time but its ok ...
Do you know what frequency i can put on it ? XP 1600,1700,1800,1900,2000 ??
and is it stable??
Do you know why the support of asus tell me that i can not put an XP on my mobo because of the revision which is between PCI's slot ?(1.03)

no offense but don't you read? That was the reason for this thread and I answered that question. You have to flash to revision 1008 for xp support but 1009 is the newest so whichever one you want.

My signature really sucks.
