If I buy all the components to put together my computer (except the monitor and case) from newegg, what would you say the odds are that at least one of the components won't work?

That would depend a lot on the components themselves, you know the quality.

that's everything... I'm not too worried about getting a cheap component that doesn't work. I'm just worried about the 15% restocking fee for the more expensive parts.

looks good. but what are you worried about? if you're satisfied with what you are purchasing you will be fine. in the case where something MIGHT be defective, they do not charge you a fee. only if say a few weeks later you say, well i don't really like the layout of my keyboard, then you'll get a restock fee.

The website is a little ambiguous about the restock fee. The way I read it, it seemed like if you had a problem with something, they charged you 15% to replace it, but I guess it makes more sense more the way you say.

Thanks a lot.

i just built my system out of parts that i got from newegg and i didnt have a single problem.(except they forgot to put my heatsink fan in the box, so i called them up and they shipped it out no problem).
