anyone do freebsd here? Power management problem.

im trying to get freebsd working(kinda 65% up) on my laptop(dell inspiron 600m) and want to disable power ACPI or power management. whenever i close the lid, it just suspends, and problably doesnt know when to un-suspend.
then you gotta poweroff by using the power button and that sucks big time. anyone got any ideas?

This problem could be in your BIOS. Check there for ACPI power settings. Then check your settings in /proc/sys/acpi (<A HREF="http://acpi.sourceforge.net/" target="_new">Documentation on ACPI</A>). If you want, redownload, reinstall, then reconfigure ACPI. Hope this helps.
