I'm getting a message to respond to an email to complete .net passport
registration.....there is NO message there. Been happening at boot for the
last month since I got this computer. How do I stop it?

Special thanks for your help.

Greetings Pro,

You'll get this message if your .NET Passport e-mail address hasn't been verified.

If you don't use Messenger, you can disable it by opening it up (click Start, then Run, type
"msmsgs" and click OK), click Tools, Options, Preferences tab and uncheck 'Run this Program
when Windows starts' or 'Run Windows Messenger when Windows starts' (depending on version) as
well as 'Allow this program to run in the background' or 'Allow Windows Messenger to run in
the background' (depending on version).

If you do use Messenger, you'll need to ask for another verification e-mail from Passport
Services: http://register.passport.net/contactus.srf
