Can I put an XP processor on a A7M266 mobo?

Thinking about upgrading from a 1.2gig@266 athlonC to an Athlon XP cpu. Can I put it on my A7M266 mobo - with the latest 1005 bios to give it xp support? Will I need to adjust the multiplier or the fsb?

well actually i have an athlon1800+ on my a7m266 board and it runs fine with the new 1005 bios.. so don't worry about it.. no multiplier but you might need to adjust your fsb if it's not to 133MHZ... well actually i am having problems with the 133MHZ fsb on my system, just can't figure why... but you'll be fine

If you get the latest bios you should see XP1600-XP1900+ and shouldn't have to change the mul. or fsb. But you do what to clear the CMOS. At least that's been the case with two mobo I have.

is it the reason for my fsb133 mhz problems?, it doesn't run stable at 133?
