Hey guys, I have Windows fax role set up on Windows server 2008 R2 with a modem connected to it through a serial cable. It can send and receive faxes just fine. My problem is that I want to be able to send faxes through the shared fax from the workstations to the server at this place. I got the configuration where I am able to see the incoming faxes but whenever I try to send a fax out to test, the "Send new fax" button doesn't do anything. Do I have something configured wrong? Or am I missing something? I also posted this thread in the XP forum on this site.
I think its you need to check if the Windows Fax Services in your XP has been disable or not. Generally, this option is set to Automatic but only if the service has been installed. Go to Start->Run->Type"MSCONFIG.EXE"->In the new window, Search for Windows Fax .. something like that. Hope I helped.
