Socket A Longevity

I'm condsidering buying an Athlon, but I'm wondering what the future holds for AMD Mobos... Once they move to the 0.13 micron die, will they keep the same socket? Just wondering how much life I might get out of a Socket A... Does anyone know where I might find this info, or a technology roadmap for AMD?
