problem inserting ram into ecs board

i have an ECS K7vta3 board and can't get the little clips on the ends of the ram receptacles to engage the ram....i'm pushing hard and they just won't click into place...am i doin' something wrong or is this a known problem???

Strange, is there something visual wrong with the RAM slots, do you have the right type of memory and are you inserting it the right way?

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground .
