I currently have Windows XP on my computer, but am downloading Mandrake 9.2. I don't have any partitions, just everything all in one spot. I heard that Mandrake can resize partitions, but can it create new ones? I need a seperate partition so that I can dual boot. Is there some way to do this without wiping my hard drive first? Thanks.

Yes it can. You have one partition right now for windows. Mandrake can resize that down and create the new ones it needs in the free space.

Some day I'll be rich and famous for inventing a device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet.

Might be a good idea to defrag and scan your disk beforehand. Defragging reorganizes and compacts the existing data to let the resize work better.
