I keep wondering why the ASUS boards are being bought by so many people if they don't have any thermal protection. Am I correct in assuming everyone is relying solely on their Heatsink/Fan not to fail? With that in mind, doesn't it make sense to buy their new 333 board which will have thermal protection?
Also, does the Abit KR7133A seem a better bet? I'm not looking to overclock, use RAID, or use onboard audio; I just want a reliable board that has minimal compatibility issues and I'm willing to buy the board that meets these requirements even if they have features I'll never use.
Thanks,
