bios Help!

[Drunkagain]

OK, I have an Abit KT7 mobo that I just flashed to the most recent bios vs.
Everything seemed to be fine, except my mouse cursor now acts kooky for some
reason. It kinda stutters around when I'm running a program. It's fine on my
desktop or when using any programs or games it stutters like crazy. Any
suggestions please? I use a MS usb optical mouse, and have also tried with
my old MS serial mouse. I also seem to be getting problems with my losing connections with my usb? I have an external usb nic card for my internet connection, and that and my mouse are randomly just cutting out. I have to reboot to get them going again. Also my screensaver is freezing up now and then.

The bios version i'm now using is KT764. Thanks for any help

1 Install latest VIA 4IN1 drivers
2 Update your virus proggy and scan for virusses. Trust me virusses causes all kind of hell like you described.

If you got an Nvidia 3d card, just get the latest detonator drivers and update the drivers for those devices that you described.

After flash I did format and installed everything fresh, give it a shot.

yeah a flash might just do it. its a daunting task, but hey - at least you start fresh.

Thanks for the suggestions. Guess I'll try a fresh install. At least it will give me an excuse to upgrade to XP.
