msn 6.2 video but no audio on wireless laptop

hi all, hopefully someone can give me some pointers please. im on 1meg
broadband through an smc 7404 wireless router. my main pc is connected
by ethernet to the router and messenger works perfectly,really good
video and audio. my laptop is connected wirelessly and i can neither
send or receive audio, although video is perfect.any help would be very
much appreciated. many thanks Dave in very very wet cornwall..
