Brand new Linksys wireless internet camera WVC54G.
Will not be recognized as a web cam. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Linksys says it can't be done. Says it is only for recording and monitoring.
For $300 it this seems to be crazy. They offer DDNS service as an internet
camera. Why can't the camera be incorporated into your basic system as a Web
Cam?

Greetings LKB,
Messenger uses the standard DirectShow interface for its webcam support; if the webcam
doesn't support this (or rather, if the driver doesn't), then you can't use it in Messenger.
This is really up to Linksys.
