I am trying to install Windows messenger 5.0. Windows
reports that I have a newer version and must uninstall
this first. I have ran the cmd: "RunDll32
advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%
\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove",
Add/Remove programs does not contain the program, Add
remove Windows components has not helped.

The only "newer" version you could have is Windows Messenger 5.1, which you can find here:
