I've recently received my I6000 with XP MCE 2005 and reinstall OS. Now I can
not watch DVD films. Because MCE needs DVD Decoder Plug-ins. This OS name is
Media Center.

I've got XP MCE on a desktop...no problem with viewing DVDs. What
region are the ones you're trying to view? If not Region 1 (USA,
Canada, Mexico (?)), then maybe therein lies the problem.

Your machine came with PowerDVD. You have to reinstall that, even if you're
going to watch DVDs through MCE.

The DVD codec is not part of the OS. It has been that way since Win95.

It's because Microsoft is too cheap to spend 50 cents per copy of MCE for
the MPEG2 decoder royalty.... and MPEG2 competes with Windows Media Video
format you see, so it's MSFT's feeble attempt to reduce the spread of MPEG2.
